Portrait Styling & Prep Guide
Clients frequently ask what to wear and how can they prepare for their session.
The best answer is to be yourself! Wear what you feel best in.
Here are a few more tips that can help:
COLORS
Steer clear of tiny/busy prints and neon colors. Avoid screen-printed tops--they are not as timeless as a solid or patterned piece.
Neutrals and jewel tones are great choices.
MAKEUP
If you wear makeup, I suggest wearing a little more makeup than your everyday look. Avoid super shimmery or gittery makeup.
Bring your makeup to your session (especially powder or blotting paper and lipstick and/or gloss).
MAKING FACES
Before your session, look in the mirror. Do you have a side you prefer? Find your inner model and make some faces. Do you have a side you prefer?

MOST IMPORTANTLY . . . Keep it fun! Your session should be enjoyable--try to relax and your natural confidence will shine through.
